ShareCardLink ("we", "us", "our") runs the website and web app at sharecardlink.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, mobile number and password (stored encrypted) when you register or sign in, including when you sign in with Google.
- Card content: what you add to your digital card, such as business name, role, photos, links, address and social profiles. This is public, because sharing it is the purpose of a card.
- Usage data: pages visited, device and browser type, IP address and card view counts, used for security, statistics and improving the service.
- Orders and messages: menu orders, chats, connections and notifications you create inside ShareCardLink.
2. Google user data (contacts import)
If you choose "Import all contacts from Google" on the Find friends page, we ask Google for read-only access to your contacts (contacts.readonly). You choose the Google account, and you can cancel at any time.
- What we access: only the names and phone numbers of your Google contacts.
- How we use it: only to show which of your contacts already use ShareCardLink, so you can connect with them, and to tell you later when a contact joins.
- What we store: we do not store names or phone numbers. Each number is turned into a one-way, keyed hash (HMAC-SHA256) on our server, and only that hash is kept. It cannot be turned back into the number.
- Access token: it is used once in your browser, and right after the import it is revoked. We do not keep ongoing access to your Google account.
- Sharing: we never sell, share or transfer Google user data to anyone, and we never use it for advertising.
- Delete: you can delete all synced contact data at any time with "Delete my synced contacts" on the Find friends page. You can also remove our access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
ShareCardLink's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3. How we use data
- To run your account, card, orders, chats and connections.
- To send service notifications and emails, such as login codes, order updates or "your contact joined".
- To keep the service safe and prevent spam and abuse.
- To improve features, based on overall statistics.
4. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data only:
- with service providers who help us run the site, such as hosting, email delivery and payments, and only for that work;
- when the law requires it.
Content you put on your public card is visible to anyone who has the link.
5. Cookies and ads
We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember settings. Some pages may show ads from Google AdSense, which may use cookies. You can manage ad cookies at adssettings.google.com.
6. Storage and security
Data is stored on secure servers and sent over HTTPS. We keep data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data, except data the law requires us to keep.
7. Your rights
You can view, edit or delete your data from your account. You can also email us to ask for a copy of your data or to delete your account.
8. Children
ShareCardLink is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
